    Hi

This plant/shrub grows in my garden...it has small red flowers on it when in season and comes back every year. Can you please tell me what it is, when to plant bulbs and when they're available as i'd like to get some more.

    Thanks

can you give a bit more detail about when the plant flowers? It is not the clearest of photos, but foliage is possibly Crocosmia or Libertia? What makes you so sure it's a bulb?

I think it could be Schizostylis, aka Kaffir Lily or Crimson Flag. Should be available as corms in the spring or " in the green " early summer.:gnthb:

Agree with Daitheplant - looks very much like Schyzostylis - never very good at spelling though........

julia, that certainly looks a lot like it! I think they're bulbs because my ex tended the garden before me and she told me so! She doesn't know the name though. The plant doesn't come out of a single stem.
