    Hi All

It has started growing from this mid summer, and became pretty large now. Not sure what it is.

This morning was frosty, and the leaves were affected. Thank you for your info.

Might be a centaurea Montana. Has nice blue flowers but gets really tatty as summer wears on and needs hard cutting back. It will then regenerate and perform again. So not really a weed, except I think it's a bit of a weed!

However, the leaves could also be a type of foxglove, but more likely to be the centaurea.

Where are you that's getting frost already??

Thank you for your info. I think it had flowered in the spring. We are in outskirts of Edinburgh Scotland. I thought it was middle of winter this morning, but became warm in the afternoon :)
