desert rose

i have just got some desert rose seeds anyone got any advice about propogation i only have 5 and dont want to waste them

 

Desert Rose propagation from seeds

Wrap seed pods with wire or ties to keep seeds from dispersing when pods mature and open.
Let pods mature on plant. Remove them from the plant when they begin to open and let them dry further before removing the seeds.

I did grow some from seed years ago I don't think they were difficult if I remember correctly, the only problem I had was overwintering they got too cold in the g/house and they perished

 

Assume this is Adenium the desert rose.

I've got some seed raised plants.
Over the years I had no luck germinated seed from the likes of Chiltern Seeds etc.
My first sucsess was with seed bought from a company in the US, second batch from Thailand.

Warm temperatures and a well drained compost is best I think, with the seed barely covered.

Germination is reasonably fast on fresh seed.

As Walnut says, winter temps need to be fairly high, mine dont go below 15C, but I think they will take a bit lower than that as long as they are kept dry and probably leafless.
