White fly

    What's the best way to kill white fly on plants

    Spray them with soapy water.

    Or spray with water with a few drops of Lavender Oil in:blue thumb:

      Spraying them will kill them almost immediately but if you miss any or others arrive you'll have to repeat it. :)

      Killing the fly is not the problem, killing the eggs of the next generation is.

      Like most of this kind of pest, they are very resistant to most available sprays so you end up spaying weekly or so.
      Which in my mind is not a good way to go.

      There is bound to be something out there, just not available to amateurs.

      There is a biological control (parasitic wasp) available for greenhouses. Needs to above 10°C though.

      Yes, its expensive, slow, and you cant use a spray for other pests.

      Good for the professionals not much use for us lot.
