I was about to ask where you had gone, checked your last posts and remembered you were moving, hope all went well, and nearly all the boxes sorted.

 

She moved house!!!

 

Aww, bless you all and thank you for the good wishes.

Not everything went according to plan (but then, this is "M"'s world and it rarely does ) Didn't get to move in until a few days before one son was packed off to Lincoln and a week after that packed t'other son off to Wales. Thankfully, I made good use of their youthful muscles before they went .

I do still have boxes to unpack ... but then I don't have anywhere to put anything. Deliberately didn't bring some of the furniture from the other house because a) it wouldn't look right and b) *not* having it would act as an incentive to get the pieces I actually would like. Good plan, huh? Nope! I resigned last Friday so that new furniture will be a while in coming after all. Mind you, saying that, as my mother used to say: "I'd rather be skint then have nowt".

Next week we are having the rear garden fencing renewed and will be able to enjoy the full length of it (panels missing when we bought it and can't risk Ozzy in that quarter of the garden). Strange getting use to such a small garden by comparison to the last, but I think we'll all be happy here.

The area is wonderful! Last Saturday I went to the Scout Hut for a Jumble Sale (yes, a jumble sale!!!). Clearly the local WI had been busy because the cakes being sold with a cuppa were fabulous. Once that had finished, we walked back, got Ozzy and took a walk to the local rec (behind the Scout Hut) and people were arriving for the Under 9's football match. So, we sat on a bench and watched the little 'uns play. Next to the rec is a field with horses and chickens running around. Popped home to get some apples to feed to the horses: gorgeous beasts!

The only "noise" is the sound of sheep and (at night) owls. That is remarkable seeing as our neighbour has 7 children aged from under 1yo to teen.

It sounds like you're in paradise "M"! Of course we're going to need pictures of the garden at some point ...... and that's reminded me, I haven't seen Jenny around for a bit, I hope all is well with her.
