Myself and my partner were having a serious discussion about how to keep the dogs in the garden without building a fence. We settled on a moat because they hate wage. This then developed into Halloween talk, and I was wondering (theoretically) if it would be illegal to have a flaming moat around the whole house. I'm talking a moat covered in oil and set on fire.

Keeping dogs in the garden and other animals out: When my daughter lived in the States her neighbours had fair sized gardens and dogs, they erected Small low electric fence, I was a bit shocked at this but there its legal, don't know about here tho it appeared to be just a couple of low voltage wires. Dogs are quite smart and made no attempt to leave after the 1st try

Depends on the dogs - ours would think a moat was sent from heaven!
