I'm so hot, no point going to bed.
I'm fed up with this weather.
    I'm English for goodness sake.
Bring on the rain LOL :hehe:

I'm really starting to suffer without sleep in this heat.
I have no idea how they cope in hot countries when its like this for weeks and months.
Holidays are different but when you have to work and do everything without hardly any sleep it starts to get to me.
I noticed today a lot of people looked tired and were a bit grumpy.
I think even being in a tent in the garden would be to hot tonight.
I might just crawl in the fridge . :)

Well the rain came last night. It's still muggy here, but a bit cooler.

Don't worry Lyn, the "heatwave" is coming to an end!

Not sure where abouts you are in the West Midlands Lyn but it rained here last night in Rugby.

It has brought the temp down a little but like Aaron says - still muggy :(

Your right about everyone suffering from lack of sleep though, even our dogs are struggling. The little one has had my other half up before 5am every morning so far - he is shattered. He is working on site at the moment (electrician who does commercial work like new build hospitals, schools etc) ..... so its pretty dangerous for him to be tired! I dont think he is alone though, the whole site is suffering to work in this heat and then try to get sleep at night!

Kids are all struggling to sleep too - so 4 grumpy teenagers to deal with aswell :( .... and yes it is possible for them to be even more grumpy that normal lol

Hopefully the temperatures will continue to fall the next few days and we can get back to a bit of normaility ...... fingers crossed anyway!!

It's raining here now very slightly-but the most important thing is that it is cool and comfortable again. A wren which comes by for an hour or so each day certainly sounds happier, and I can almost hear a sigh of relief from the plants.

Nothing here yet but very warm. Sky seems to be little darker now so maybe we will get some rain. Hope so my water butts are empty.
