palm tree food

    kind of makes sense i will take your advice thig is though i just ordered £20 fertilizer :lollol:nevermind eh

    Sorry about that. :hehe:

    Let us know how you get on. After a year, a palm like that should be difficult to dig out of the ground. If as I suspect, it pops out with one try, the roots are most likely pot bound.

    I bought some Palm Feed at Lidl thered, £1 99. :)

    No problem, I'm sure if you look at the analysis of the fertiliser you will find its not all that different from any other.
    So I'd use it as a general fertiliser on any plants you like, perhaps not ideal for some but I bet you wont notice the difference.

    I think there are far too many specific feeds around these days, all designed to part you from your money.:skp::D

    been a while but i just noticed this while clearing some old bookmarks it was pot bound as had been suggested but i could not manage to prise the roots apart they were all bunched too tightly i dug a bigger hole and raised it up a bit as it seemed to be in a puddle it still seems to be struggling and may not last the winter anymore advice would be great thanks

    How long ago did you lift it?

    Its not going to do much root wise for the next 5months, so if its still sitting in a puddle it will die.

    Can you pot it up?
    And keep it dry over winter.
