No need. I already know the answer. They eat snails.

Any non normal person thinking of eating snails, just be aware that you have to clean them out for several days first, otherwise, if their last meal was hemlock, it'll be your last meal too [IMG]

Yes quite agree Ziggy - Some years ago we went to a restaurant, The Miners Arms at Priddy, - I guess not a million miles from you, in Somerset, where we had Mendip snails - yes the ordinary common or garden variety which were cleaned and starved as you describe and served in the French style with the usual herb butter - a choice decided by foody trends at the time, but to be honest never to be tried again - to be fair though, the other meals we had there were very good.

I'll stick to the vegetarian option  Kissed a slug by accident once, won't be going there again :yikes:

I guess every time you eat a freshly picked raspberry or blackberry, there's a good chance of ingesting a little wildlife at the same time.

I must have eaten thousands of them over the years. :noidea: Never done me any harm though. :old:

They are disgusting - anything that looks like snot does not belong in my mouth :nonofinger:

Going back to the original thread - if I was starving and had no choice I'd eat insects, but otherwise no, I'd feed them to the birds.
