I'd get yourself back to hospital missus.

I had a wasp's nest in my flat roof a couple of years ago. Found loads of them on windowsills, etc over the summer and put them all outside. However, one of them I picked up in my dressing gown. Obviously I hadn't shaken it out properly because when I put my arm down it was caught up and stung me twice - my own fault so put the little critter out. I had a massive inflamed area on my arm which was really sore and itchy and took months to go.

Thanks for asking M, I'm less itchy today but still have the re-appeared marks all over me. I didn't go to hospital as I'm fit and well in every other respect, I just wanted to know why all the marks re-appeared. I'm going to try and get hold of my GP tomorrow.

            :phew:

So relieved to read your reply :grphg:

Now, get up early and be prepared for the "faster finger" challenge when you call your surgery.

Hope GP can bring you some relief (and insight!) :grphg:

                Hi Yvonne

any update ? I was putting mouse guards on my beehives on Sunday also my mate was doing the same , next minute I saw him running up the lane with bees following on very quickly , they had him , once in the eyebrow (whole of his eye swollen this morning) and once in the back of the neck , I saw his wife in work this morning not looking to happy when she saw me , I did think of you Sunday when all this was happening , and how lucky you were to get away.

                  Hi Spruce
I wasn't ignoring you, its taken until today to actually speak to a GP! She thinks the second flame up of symptoms was my body building up antibodies to the venom. She has advised me to keep antihistamines handy from now on, as the next time my reaction could be the same as this time or it could be much more extreme. Allergic reactions are not predictable so she couldn't give me any indication of future reactions. Good job both the allotment and my garden are close to a hospital!

                    Hi Yvonne

I knew someone who come back from holiday after a bite on the ankle and that took just under two months to calm down , I hope they gave you some anti histamine cream

Glad you are on the mend
