I forgot to mention that the vouchers printed on balance enquiries, withdrawal confirmations, etc. at Tesco store ATM's are not actually store specific and can be used anywhere that accepts coupons (although they usually coincide with an instore Tesco offer that very often make the product free):

    ATM MOCs.jpg

As it's currently a Birds Eye promotion week/fortnight? there's always a chance of being able to use these together with instore reductions, cashback(s?) and maybe some other vouchers, as that does happen. We filled our freezers when Birds Eye did a similar promotion that made their 'Fusions' veg (sweetcorn/peas?) free, and our hens were very appreciative.

Some tesco ATMs are now printing £1 vouchers on receipts, etc. for free bags of Birds Eye veg. (£1 vouchers, products on offer at £1). Due to our freezers being absolutely stuffed with free food, our hens are doing rather well at the moment.

About a month ago my other half had reason to email Tesco and complain about their discount vouchers. I'm talking about the ones that are chosen specifically for the way we shop. It would seem, here on the island, as soon as we get a specific voucher in the post, that particular item has already vanished from the shelves weeks before. More often than not the voucher is for something in a large quantity which means that no only is the voucher useless but we have to pay more for smaller quantities to make up for the larger pack. He spoke to a member of staff at the time and they said to throw the vouchers away, there was nothing they could do.

In the shop on Thursday, the same happened again, so my husband emailed Tesco Head Office with a more forceful complaint. The following day he received a phone call from customer services to listen to, as it turned out, my husbands list of faults with Tesco and their shop here on the island. The lady on the receiving end was very apologetic and regarding the vouchers told him this.......The individual items that we are given vouchers for are chosen from our personal shopping list six months beforehand. My husband complained that this was ridiculous as it's to distant from the time the vouchers are received and used, pointing out that our choices change in short periods of time. He also said that with the technology used there was no excuse for this. Anyway, the upshot was that we will be receiving a £5 voucher to spend on any items of our choice. They then went on to discuss his other complaints. The telephone call was recorded and the lady assured my husband that his issues would be considered by Tesco. Meanwhile will we see any change.....they certainly need to pull their socks up!

The vouchers appear online weeks before you receive them in the post enabling you to print them out and use them before those who wait until the mailing arrives. Some stores have machines where you can print them for free. If you access your Clubcard account online you can find out when date to check for them.

When a booklet of vouchers arrives at other times, we immediately check our other accounts to see what's available to use, and also check befoe using any spend and save vouchers to get to the threshold cost, but then get it back down again as much as possible.

If they don't have the product in stock, ask at Customer Services for a 'raincheck' voucher that will allow you to use the coupon beyond it's expiry date. (some naughty people who have numerous accounts are forced to do this regularly because they get more coupons for a product than there's items on the shelf, but you obviously have to go to different CS staff with each one).

When there was an item on 3 for the price of 2 offer and Tesco were only putting 2 out at a time, we paid at the CS desk to get the offer and collected them from CS on our next visit to the store (doesn't work with perishable items though).

P.S. Am I the only one to think this must be about loo roll coupons?

Thanks for the info Scrungee. :dbgrtmb:

We asked at customer services if there was anything that could be done, they said no just throw away the voucher.

Not you as well Scrungee! :doh:No, it was Tesco's dishwasher tablets.

On the first occasion it was 1kg of Lurpak butter which they have no intention of re-ordering at our shop, it's been missing of the shelves for at least three months.

I thought it was free pasta + £1 cashback, but they've actually given us £2 cashback for packs that cost nothing. Cor, paid £8 to eat 4 packs of pasta! Reminds me of one of Mrs Scrungee's product trials when she got paid to eat chocolate.

sainsburys are doubling their nectar points. Think it said until 25th you will have to check. They are allowing you up to £20 of your nectar points, so in effect you can spend £40 but not on groceries. You can spend it on clothing, electrical, home wear etc. I got my daughter clothes worth £40 for £20 today:)

Wine & champagne has now been limited to Sainsbury's own brand, preventing 'doubling up' and then getting 'brand match' so getting the difference between Sainsbury's and other supermarkets back at full price when you'd only effectively paid half price, even better if you'd used a 'spend and save voucher' with your 'double up' vouchers. Times get harder every year.

I did rather well on one of our last Sainsbury's 'double ups', as when I got the vouchers printed instore they credited me with the amount of Nectar Points I was using instead of deducting them!

                          Cheap cheese at Tesco again!

Tesco Xmas mag (free instore, grab a few), on p1 there's vouchers for £3 off £12 of dairy products.

Buy a £1.70 pack of Leerdammer cheese slices with the 'Try me free label", send off FREEPOST and you'll get a £2 coin back in the post (NB one per address), plus get a £2 (half price) pack of Anchor Cheddar using one a £1.20 off voucher from the latest mailing, plus buy £8.30's worth of 'Value' cheese and use the £2 off £6's worth of Value products voucher from the latest mailing, and then use the £3 off dairy from the mag., and you will get £8.20 (2+1.20+2+3) off £12, getting all that cheese down to £3.80 (from £12).

If you were to it as part of a 'helping hand' £5 off £40 shop (starting tomorrow), that would get the cost down by a further 12.5% (£1.50) reducing it to only £2.30. If you go back to Nov 2013 on this thread you'll see how we filled our fridge with really cheap Anchor cheese. We've got these vouchers for all our accounts and the Anchor vouchers are double use. Once we started buying Anchor cheese when there was multiple overlapping vouchers and promotions we've been getting vouchers in mailings ever since, and they always coincide with other offers.

                          cheese1.jpg

                          cheese2.jpg

In the same mag there's a 75p voucher for New Covent Garden Soup (last page before back cover), plus there another for 70p on NCGS's website http://www.newcoventgardensoup.com/, not tried it yet but both will probably work, getting the cost down to minus 28p as they're on offer for £1.17 at the moment, best to muddle them up with some other vouchers, such as the ones for cheese. http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/search/default.aspx?searchBox=new covent garden soup&newSort=true&search=Search I recommend the Tomato, Vegetables & Laird Lentil.

This is an example of why it's a good thing to sign up for £1 off coupons at http://www.livedanone.co.uk Create 1 email address for each device you have that you can print from, then sign them up for newsletters to get emailed £1 off voucher links.

Fail the print test on the extra one and sign that one up for vouchers through the post. When you print from voucher links ignore the don't hit the back button because if you hit it when the coupon actually starts printing you'll be able to print another one (EDIT: they might have fixed this glitch in the last couple of days as it didn't work this morning).

                            Example:

Free yoghurt! Buy 6 of these Activia yoghurt packs from Tesco @ 2 for £4 = £12. http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/Shopping/FindProducts.aspx?Query=Activia Intensely Creamy Yogurt &Store=Tesco

If they are all different flavours you will need to add 4 more inexpensive items (half a small carrot, etc. that are the same price or cheaper at Asda, getting the total number of different items to 10 so you will be eligible for Tesco Price Promise. https://www.tescopricepromise.com/TermsConditions

Use a £3 off £12 of dairy products voucher from p1 of the Tesco Xmas mag getting the cost down to £9.

Then hand over three £1 off coupons getting the cost of the youghurts down to £6 (one voucher per 2 packs),

As Asda are selling those yoghurts @ £1 each, and Tesco are 2 for £4, you will get a PP voucher printed out for £6 off your next shop, so 24 yoghurts (4 per pack) for nothing!
                            http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/Shopping/FindProducts.aspx?Query=Activia Intensely Creamy Yogurt

P.S. If not already signed up, you might have to wait for the next mailing to join in the bargain hunting. EDIT: signed up with another email this morning and got sent a voucher link. Sometimes there's also cashback that can be claimed on the stuff with £1 off.
