    After the ex's abuse spilled over from pm's to the main board last night i've deleted my Facebook

      Never been on it - evil, evil, evil. I simply cannot stand this 'well it was stated on Facebook so it must be true' nonsense. So many good friendships/relationships that have been destroyed by Facebook - some things are best left in ones head.

                  Im half and half on facebook. Its makes life easier for me to stay in touch with people. I dont add everyone so its only a select few on there.

                  But then i hate seeing posts shared around that personally i think are rubbish and seeing some of the stupidest comments ever on there from people. Or really nasty comments from people which is horrible

                  It has its uses but im not a massive fan

                  And for work facebook has stopped sharing your posts as they want you to pay so instagram is far better

                    Sorry to hear that your ex is being a PIA (sorry couldn't help using FB speak)

                    I do use it a little, to keep in touch with far flung family members. I find it very sad the length of time people waste on there, and playing trivial games till 4am, then posting next day they don't feel well enough to go to work!

                    You won't miss the relentless kitten videos Zigs, maybe just a few little gems like this (not aimed at you or anyone else here on GC of course!):

                          My facebook contains 2 closed cooking groups of wonderful people from all over the world, a closed gardening group, several school mates from other states of the USA. So these folks are neat to keep up with, and discover new things with.

                          Zig, why not just close your friend off your facebook?

                          We've both got facebook accounts but only use them to get money off vouchers (like some company, get sent a voucher, then unlike them), and don't take them at all seriously, for example (including stupid facebook question of the day)

                            Although she's not on my friends list, we got too many mutual friends and the kids accounts that she could have a pop at me thru. 2 of the kids are on GC now, had a message from one on here this morning :)
