    Evening all,
These long periods of darkness from silly o'clock in the afternoon won't do. I'm considering enormous floodlights which run on the energy produced by my dog's tail wagging and also compost... though that one has eluded me thus far.
Stayed out until pretty much blind dark, and couldn't feel my hands. Happy days :)

Welcome to GC 'D' :) Your dogs tail would probably work better as a fan. We'd like to know your gardening preferences, if you have any of course!

Thank you for the welcomes :D

I wrote a bit about my gardening likes in my profile thingy. I suppose my preferences are still being worked on.

I've put soooo many bulbs in this year. Really invested some time, thought and pennies. Excited doesn't quite cover it. I bet you guys know that feeling. I could moult all over my desk! (ok, eew!)

Most of the Gang know my garden is a chaotic Cottage Style with several layers of bulbs [around 5 layers] with herbaceous perennials/shrubs planted very close together on top along with annuals so there's never an inch of bare soil in the borders during Spring, Summer and Early Autumn. So, like you, I get the hugely excited feeling while sitting somewhere in the garden, with a mug of tea, and looking at the thousands of shoots pushing out of the ground in the early Spring and thinking "What's that, what's that one, what's that one??" even though by now I should know!!:heehee:

Love it! Your garden sounds such fun.
I want to put a seating area with a wall and beds round it down in the middle of the garden. At the moment we sit up on the patio by the house, so always look down and across the garden itself, rather than being in the midst of it and getting to really enjoy it.

                              Something like this?

Or this, where you can sit and, with a glass of wine, watch the Sun go down?:

Or maybe out of sight where you can hide away?
