Can anyone tell me if you used grow bags a second time whether all of the nutrients have gone. I have planted a second lot of lettuces in them. Put them in the greenhouse and they are not doing well. i put them outside last night.

Is it because the growbag has been used before or the greenhoue is too hot?

Lettuce won't be keen on being in a greenhouse this time of year.

Reusing old compost is fine. However, growing the same crop again introduces the risk that any diseases carry to the new crop. Particularly for Potatoes, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, etc. Catch-crops, like Lettuce, less of an issue.

However, the compost will have run out of nutrients, so will need feeding with a general purpose liquid feed (or some long-life compost granules - the type suitable for Pots, hanging baskets, Urns and the like)
