    Pressure bandages/stockings compress the leg and, subsequently, the veins and arteries. This helps them push the blood through the legs more easily. Therefore improving circulation. :blue thumb: (A bit oversimplified but you get the idea. :))

      I had a terrible night @shiney . I suffer most at night in bed, when I wake up in agony (groin). It seems to be getting worse.
      I tried to get myself sitting up, and something went in my bad wrist, a tightness accompanied by an electric shock sensation , and then numbness.
      P.S. I need to speak with Mrs Shiney :)

      @NorthantsGeezer Sorry to hear that.

      Mrs Shiney is asleep at the moment but I'll tell her when she wakes up. I don't know how busy she is today, so why not send a PM with some info in the meantime. :blue thumb:

      Hi @Kandy . Merry Christmas :reindeer sleigh:
      I hope you are both having a good Christmas :reindeer:
      To cut a long story short......they were worried about a hard lump(s) around the site of the wound. The surgeon wheeled me to ultrasound, where we were both happy to find it was just swelling/bruising. Hopefully nothing to worry about :blue thumb:. He apologised for me getting so badly bruised, which was good of him :).
      Neither A&E / my doctor had bothered to check the wound previously, only the thigh.
      I have been left with half of my right hand numb. I did keep mentioning it, but never really got an answer. The nurse said that maybe a nerve had got nicked during the stabbing around.
      I am spending the day alone, which is ok. I am cooking a 3 bird roast for a friend tomorrow. I am not really in a festive mood to be honest though. Thanks for asking :blue thumb:

            Get well soon NG, you've had more than your fair share of illness recently. Scrap Christmas and look forward to New Year instead! :)

                I am in a similar situation to you @CL.
                I am getting electric shocks in my hand when my wrist gets in a certain position. The left side of my right palm is constantly numb, but if I touch it, I feel pins and needles in it. Washing my hands hurts it.
                As for my thigh, the bruise is receding very slightly (reds to blue), and it hurts like crazy if I sit down and then stand up. Its a real killer pain.
                My walking is a tad better today though :) which is good.
                Thanks for asking CL :)
