Well, it definitely ain't been warm in West Cheshire. There's been mountainous black clouds grinding through the skies and always threatening to snow or rain all day but they carried on to the East without doing so. But now the skies have cleared and the stars are out and the promise is for more clear night skies over the next few days so I'll be out dressed like an Eskimo trying to keep warm while staring through the scope. The temperature right now is 32f and the pressure reading is 1036mb:coffee::snork:

Rather you than me Armandii! When my son had his scope in his early teens I used to go out and keep him company and come in perished. Always the best viewing this time of year though. :)

I've got all the Cold Weather gear, Sheal, [including the thermals:heehee:] that I use for when I'm fishing and so long as you keep your head and feet warm it's fine. I tend to lose time when I'm staring through the scope as I get so deep into into it that I feel I'm out there in Space!!!
Besides a hot mug of Tea and a warm House is only a step away:coffee::heehee:

No weather report with the weather station to day,as you know I took it down to give it its winter M.O.T. and Mrs woo has decided in her infinite wisdom that yours truly has to clean it outside, its cold enough to freeze the talons off of a brass Owl,so I am going to do it tomorrow:heehee:

An absolutely clear sky with a temperature to match [34f ] the time of year. The snow from yesterday is still on the ground and looks like staying awhile. The biggest Salt Mine in Europe is only a few miles away but I think our Council relys on the roads being cleared by the spillage from the trucks loading up with it for other Councils:heehee: So all my Cold Weather gear is laid out and a flask ready to be filled with hot coffee for a bit of star gazing. It's going to be freezing with the temperature dropping like the proverbial stone.............but no gain without pain:hate-shocked::coffee: The pressure reading is 1056mb and, worryingly, the Garden Weather Station is forecasting snow or sleet:gaah: in the next 8 hours or so!!:heehee:

Only a slight frost overnight, it was still quite windy.

Nice dry sunny day today, got some pruning done.
                  4C max.

Looking like a colder one tonight though.

Boy! It's been a cold one today! Although we've had no snow there was frost and ice this morning. Sadly someone lost there life just outside my village in a one car accident, probably due to ice.

Lovely to see an almost completely blue sky and all day sunshine, 3C. Even though it was so cold it was nice to get out and about with my camera. :)

Taken at dusk with a frosty, pink sky.

I've just been outside to check the skies after optimistically switching on the kettle for the flask of hot Coffee in preparation of a bit of star gazing and :gaah: and double :gaah::gaah:........the absolutely clear skies I checked an hour ago have clouded up!!!!:hate-shocked::dunno::cry3: So my Garden Weather Station looks like it's forecast of snow is likely!!!! Still, I'll leave the Scope outside, covered up, for a while in hope until about 1am and keep checking. Right now the temperature 30f and the pressure reading is 1052mb.:wallbanging::coffee::heehee:
