    Just so you know B&Q have them in now , best to buy early before they start drying out too much , keep in the cool until ready to plant.

      I would hesitate before buying Dahlias from B&Q. I've found with quite a few of their plants that they don't come true to the picture on the packet. Also true for a number of garden centres.

        TBH, yours doesn't look big enough for dividing just yet. If dividing, they will only grow if there is a sprout (or eye) and if one of your divisions doesn't have one, it will die, so its only worth it with a substantial plant. Propagating is normally done by taking cuttings rather than division.
