Hello to all!

Hi there, my name is Jinette and I live in Kingsteignton Devon. My partner and I have recently bought an old cottage which we plan to renovate as we go. The garden is HUGE!! I've never really done any gardening before so it is time to get green fingered. I thought it best to join some sort of forum as it would be good to get advice from time to time. Once I have worked out how to post pictures on here I shall put some on. TaTa for Now xx

Hiya. Some of the photos are from when we first went to view and put an offer on the cottage in August that I took and a couple are from the estate agents website (pics taken in the spring I think)...
Between the greenhouse and the cottage it is full of well established small trees and shrubs and there is a wisteria growing on the side of the cottage which looks like it has been there for many a year. Beyond the greenhouse is an expanse of lawn. We are lucky enough to have got to know the daughter of the previous owner (she grew up in this house and still lives nearby). She said that her father grew vegetables etc. on this area. They moved here in 1940! At the bottom of the garden beyond the flat lawn area are some fruit trees, the remainder of an orchard. He also kept bees at one point. The old man was obviously passionate about his garden. We are keen to get the best out of the garden and make the old man proud, God rest his soul. I'll get out there and takes some pics of how it looks now, and put some pics on here too. Jinette x
