So, why did you? :noidea: Not like you, at all. Don't allow some no-mark to rile you!

You posted *your* experience/experiment/picture and that is what you formed your opinion on.
He's disagreeing based on *his* experience.
So, on the one hand, you are both correct (in that your opinions where based on your personal experiences).
The next part then becomes, who's opinion/experience is more valid?
    Let the arena decide.
After all, gardening is about planting a seed, seeing it flourish, flounder or fail. The variables surrounding those 3 outcomes are considerable (location, soil, temperature, water, sunlight, pests, diseases, care, attention, trial/error etc.,). Am I right that this is a US forum vs UK forum? In the context that a UK experiment is posted on a US site and a US member has experienced completely differing results?

    Chillax! :grphg:

He can infer you are a liar, cheat fraud, Neanderthal, beer belly, obese .. whatever!
*You* know that you did not fudge any photo's, or exaggerate your experiment. There is dignity in that: which means you do not need to dis/prove *anything*!!

People reading the thread will (hopefully) take a number of factors into account before deciding which post has the most merit. Which, to be fair *everyone* reading *anything* should be doing anyway: be it internet, newspapers, magazines, news programmes etc.!

Once it becomes a "turf war" (or, forum war) where members from one forum rally to the battle cry of a member on another forum and post to defend that person's experience/opinion in order to discredit someone else entirely ... that makes for an ethical/moral argument that I don't wish to delve into

If you know your integrity is in tack - don't sweat it! :grphg: Time will out ;)

"M" although I agree with you about the principle I'm not sure that's what it's about.

It takes me back many years to a discussion I was having with Mrs Shiney. I pointed out that what she was saying wasn't logical. Her irrefutable response was "Don't bring logic into the equation, we're having an argument!".

Just had a google, he's on every gardening forum on the planet spouting the same nonsense despite pictures showing the opposite of what he's saying.

He's only using one variety of potato, the Russian Blue, which is a heritage variety.

Maybe he agrees with everything we do. :blue thumb:

He can't possibly disagree that the ShineyFrame increases production by 40% over ordinary growing systems :)

I reckon the ShineyFrame is photoshopped, because everyone knows that runner beans only grow 1ft tall and only produce a maximum of one bean per plant.
