OK...last year as usual I planted 20 runner bean seeds on my south facing sunny garage wall.
Having done this for a few years I was surprised to see nothing happening after awhile.
So, back to the seed jar that I save the seeds in from the previous years crops. Went ahead and planted 20 more. Guess what?...Nothing. Ummmm. Something odd going on down here. Back to the jar I go and spot a slip of paper inside which said "Baking Beans" With a slap to my head I then remembered that she in doors needed some beans for blind baking some pastry. I had plenty so gave up some for the purpose. What an idiot....all the beans I had planted had been sterilized in the oven at 180C...It was then a trip out to but some more. In the end we did get a crop, if a little late.

Oh My God! I'd better make sure that none of my beans end up for baking. :heehee: We grow about 500 plants a year!!! :hate-shocked:
