    Indeed. He gave me a beautiful limited edition card with an owl on it too. I sent him a Christmas card back with a thank you for the image. Got to get it framed now.

          Thank you Java&me that means a lot.

          I thought I would be pretty much kicking my heels at the moment but have been given a commission to carve a few bits for a valentines day meal coming up.

          These are little hearts carved from sapele which I salvaged from my neighbour when she was clearing out her shed. These will go on the tables. I may be turning these into keyrings too.

                  As a very beginner carver which I started as a hobby a few years ago this is a great thread. Prompted me to maybe do some more. I still have a selection of wood to work on. But, there's always a but.. Not sure if my trigger fingers can hold the work firmly enough for the hand carving I mainly do. We shall see.
