Hi Guys. My Solomans Seal is being deveastated by Caterpillars. They're about 3/4" long and are green. They are only attacking this plant. It's surrounded by Fuschias, Dahlias etc. but they're not affecting anything else. I haven't seen any Cabbage Whites around. Before I get out the Provado and "Kill'em all", does anyone know of a rare moth/butterfly that only feeds on this plant:scratch:.

My Artichokes are covered in blackfly ... the Broad Beans right next to them have none. Could the insects be one to something? :D

Cajary, my Solomons Seal used to get completely devastated with caterpillar like things greeny grey in colour. They were produced in loads by saw fllies which turned up in May. I started spraying the Somons Seal in May with Bug Clear and I had no more problem. I don't like to spray things but I will if I have to.

I had small green caterpillars eating all the leaves on a young tree I have in a container on the patio. I just flicked them off and stamped on them. No problems since.

Thanks guys. It got blitzed with Provado this morning. Just didn't want to think I'd killed a specific kind of special/rare bug that only fed on that plant. If that was the case, the bug could have the plant:)

Sorry JWK. Just noticed your response. I can't post piccies on this site 'cause I'm computer illiterate. I can post them on other sites but I guess it's a different software. What the Smeg is a JPG!!
