What kind of apps are you after?

    Games?
    Lifestyle?
    Gardening?
    Social media?
    Tv?

I have an Android phone and tablet . You download the apps on Google store . There are thousands of free ones . Presume Apple iphone apps will be the same . I download lots of games for the grandkids , which are far too fast for me ! I like card games , so I have cribbage and hearts . I also have "Track My .... " which uses the GPS to track your walk or cycle ride or run etc etc , its amazingly accurate. Basically there is an app nowadays for anything you can think off :dbgrtmb:

Don't know if its available on the Apple platform, but I use Out Of Milk - fantastic app for managing shopping lists and to do lists, and if you add a partners phone to the same account it synchronises the two.

Another one that I love is TuneIn Radio - I plug my phone into a pair of active speakers at work and can happily listen to Radio 2 - a DAB or FM radio doesn't work at all in my office due to the thickness of the walls and a load of metalwork in the building.

I've got a Windows phone so don't know if these are free on iPhone, anyway I use these the most: Accuweather (reliable local forecast), a password manager (Keepass), Microsoft Word & Excel & Outlook (email & Calendar) and a Sat Nav app (Nokia Drive+).

Im absolutely addicted to "Hayday" its a free farming game  its not fast n frantic like some games, i find it very relaxing as you can go at your own pace and i love the quirky animation  ive tried quite a few games but tbh not one of them can hold a candle to Hayday :love30:

Be VERY careful about the in app purchases on Hay Day (and probably loads of other apps like it) - I know of someone who managed to blow £600 in a week on Hay Day!

Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole!

Must admit, I've spent a little bit more time on Candy Crush Soda than is probably good for me   :heehee: (I *will* get all those Honey Bears: I will, I will, I *will* :th scifD36: )

In fairness, the person that spent the money was vulnerable and did not have the capacity to know what they were doing, but nonetheless my friend was left with a hefty bill to settle. Apparently once credit card details are associated with the phone/app, there is no safeguards on expenditure.

Another good reason to keep rein on just which devices you use for online purchases (of *any* kind).
Sorry to hear about your friend, FC - an unexpected bill like that can be crippling!
