I have grown my tomato plants from seed but recently they've kind of come to a halt...

2 are quite big with about 5 leaves, and 2 are smaller with 4 smaller sized leaves, here are some pics.

1 on the left is one big one, 1 on the right is 1 of the smaller ones.

So what should I do now??? Are they ok to plant outside straight into the ground?

    And also..

As you can see in this pic, there's new small seedling like leaves emerging from the bottom of the plant, what are they ?!

What variety of Toms are they? When did you plant them?

Personally I'd take them out of the peat pots (their baby roots are too delicate to push through) and re-pot them into a 3 inch plastic pot (bury them halfway to the first set of leaves). Lots of sun for a few weeks, don't over-water, then plant out.

The seedling looks like a lettuce. Possibly a weed of some sort though.

They are Gaeta Beef tomatoes from South Italy.

Ummmm maybe a month ago.. slow progress...

3 inch pots yeah, that was what I was thinking.

Probably weeds, dunno if I should remove them though?

Yep, remove the weed / lettuce (I'm sure it's a lettuce - what soil did you use?).

More importantly though, get them re-potted, and don't over-water them. Get them working for their water and nutrients, building up strength. I'm sure someone will be along with different advice shortly though!

Where is their final destination? An outside border or pot? Inside?

LOL but I didn't put in lettuce seeds in :s

Umm it was just cheap regular multi-purpose compost from a supermarket.

I don't have the knowledge! Probably outside in a pot for a while, then eventually in the ground, where I'd need something 2 support them.

    Thanks for your advice.

The leaves don't look much like normal Tomato leaves. Do Gaeta Beef tomato leaves look different I wonder?

ummmm.. No expert but i have to agree with Kristen, They look nothing like any young tomato plants I have ever grown.
Should not the second set of leaves at least look like tomato leaves by now?
Interesting to see how this thread develops.

I'm no expert either, they don't look like any tomato seedlings I've ever grown. I've never seen hairy leaves like that nor the true leaves looking like seed leaves. But the stem is tomato like and I did stumble across these when googling, which look similar:

The above are "Striped German" Tomato, its also a beef type and matches your photo, so maybe a litle patience Tal and they will start to look more tomato like in a couple of weeks. They are maybe a little slow because of those peat pots, also I would have choosen a smaller pot size when first pricking out and keep potting on into bigger and bigger pots as they grow.
