I just thought I would mention for those that don't know it yet, that the text can be made bigger/smaller with the use of CTRL +/-

There are other systems but I find this one more immediate.

Actually it's very useful even for me, I use it allot on news sites with very small text so I can read it comfortably when sitting down with my notebook on my lap:yez:

Must be MS Office or Works, in Open Office you get all the special characters by clicking "insert" then "special character" then pick which ever character you want, and enter.

    Changing text size
You can also enlarge and reduce text by holding down Ctrl key and scrolling the mouse key backwards and forwards.

    Character Map

On the Character Map you can find key codes to all alternative characters.

You can find the map here: Start > All Programmes > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map.

For a more convenient icon on your desktop, right click "Character Map" and choose Create Shortcut. It will duplicate the Character Map name with (2) beside it. Just click on that and drag it onto your desktop.

    Key Codes
When you find a character you want to use, when you click on it, it will be enlarged. But at the bottom right, (red arrow) the key code will be displayed.

So for ½, the key code is Alt+0189. I use that one quite a lot!
