yellow bugs on fuchsia

    They are on the underside of the leafs mostly, they move sideways like a crab and they jump, does anyone know what they are and do they eat the plants?

    Hi Nat

    Those insects look like whiteflies to me. Or a close relative. Maybe it's just the light in the photo. Anyway, I bet they're sap suckers and you want to be rid of them. I'd give them a squirt of Provado Ultimate Bug Killer or you could Google for organic solutions.

    They look like Leafhopper lava to me although I have never seen Leafhoppers on Fuchsias, only Polyanthus .
    Just keep squashing all you can see. Use a spray if persistent.

    Strongy's right Leafhoppers (sap suckers).

    Thanks all for your replys, I have also found them on a rhododendron I was deadheading today, I will get rid of them, thanks again.
