    Hi,

We have recently moved into a new house so we have lots of plants that I do not know the names of and what to do with them.

First up is this grass. Does anybody know what it is called? I am contemplating cutting it right down to the ground - is this correct?

    Thank you! David

    Looks dead to me.
So a cut back would let the new growth come through better.

I have one in the corner forget which Miscanthus it is, I leave the long plumes until about this time of year, then cut it down as low as I can, although this year it will need dividing.
