            Afternoon all

Late on today as it's my Eastbourne weekend.

Sorry to hear your not feeling too good Woo, hope you're better soon.

Have a nice restful day Shiney.

Hope the meds kick in soon Moyra.

Did Beckie and Lynda make it to Aldi, I wonder?

The eclipse was a total non event in my part of France, too, Rosebay. The clouds were so heavy and low that it only got slightly gloomier then slightly lighter.

Hope Nigel is ok, haven't seen him for a few days.

Good thoughts to all. Have a great weekend

That's the sort of ending that the radio serials used to have. :heehee:

Such programmes as 'Dick Barton', 'The Man In Black' and 'Journey Into Space'. :old:

Oh dear! How could I have forgotten Paul and 'Steve'?

There were approx. 250 episodes (most of them 30 minutes) and some films and plays as well as the books.

There were over 700 Dick Barton episodes but most were 15 minutes. There were also a few TV programmes later on but not as successful as the radio. A few years back there was a tongue-in-cheek play written that was hilarious. We saw it two years ago. :blue thumb:

I've put the theme tune on the 'Currently listening to...' thread. :)

Beckie...What is it with chooks and kitchens:rolleyespink: even though I have a child gate on the back door,Theo opens it and lets them in:doh: Many a time I come in to find a chook sprawled out on the floor.Willow is the main one for sunbathing in the kitchen:chicken:

                              Aloha everyone,

Loli, I can't remember whether we had any plants where the pheasants and Sarafi have their craters but I don't think there were. Sarafi's special one is under the edge of a conifer and rarely gets wet, even in the rain. Willow looks comfy :heehee:

We're not really going to try and grow the Kelsae to full size (about 4lb each) but Mrs Shiney will probably enter into the local show. Although she will enter a lot of things this year she hasn't got the enthusiasm or incentive to try and win lots of them. Apart from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd certificates they give five trophies for getting the most points in different categories. As she won all five last year she's not eligible this year

She started flower arranging three years ago and joined a few flower arranging clubs. Last year she won the novices trophy, got promoted to the advanced group and won that trophy last week!

I'm off to a national bridge tournament today that will keep me busy from 10.45 until 7.30 and then I have to rush back for an 80th birthday party. Us wrinklies are kept busy :phew: :snork:

Woo, I hope you're able to get up and about today :)

Keep well everyone and have a great day

                              Aloha!

                                Good Morning everyone,

WOO so sorry you are not too well, hurry up and get well soon. Everyone else suffering also hope you are soon on the mend. I have pain not only in my feet and legs now but it has started in my left shoulder and right hand, where's it going to stop. This cold weather is not helping and this flat doesn't get any warmer. I shall have to put the calor gas stove on again.

Have a good day everyone, must get Amber out for her walk.
                                God bless. :wub2:
