I have to admit it's really getting me down, I'm not a moaner & I can normally see things from a positive view but this blinking weather, cold, wet, windy & dull I just can't find a positive! I keep telling myself tomorrow will be better but that's not true looking at the forecast.
What can I say????, we will really appreciate the sunshine when it finally puts its hat on! :spinning:

Agreed! I want to do more direct sowing but I think the soil is just far too cold still. The young oriental poppies I planted out are majorly sulking too. Still not planted out my Delphs as well as a load of other perennials. Come on spring!

Omitting the cold bit, I presume nobody wants to come to live here then? :heehee:

:heehee: Think you have confused two different sayings there @Val..
1 - When the north wind doth blow, we shall have snow (and what will poor Robin do then? Poor thing).
2- March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers :spinning:

You're probably lucky that not much is coming through at ground level if you're getting the storms we've had here. Quite a few new shoots were decimated by the torrential rain, hail and wind we had here the other day. I think my soil must be warming up a bit as there's loads of growth on the Phlox, echinacea, peonies, lupins and older delphiniums etc. Gladis and hollyhocks coming through as well.Lost some young penstemons and heleniums though in the storms. Don't know if they'll put on more growth or if that's them gone completely.
