Hard rain over several days = water coming through the bedroom ceiling right round the light fitting :help: Ended up sleeping downstairs so now have to try and get someone to sort the leaky roof before Easter. Good luck with that, eh? :wallbanging:

I've isolated the upstairs lights at the fuse box - is that okay for now or do I need to turn all the electrics off upstairs?

Drove from Croydon to Rochester Monday morning with the windows down most of the way with the sun really belting down after a weekend of storms and torrential downpours. True it got grim later on Monday but someone up there is just rubbing it in now.

                  Money talks

I blame the farmer for selling the land, but on the other hand, if some offer you a few million £'s an acre, i'd do the same

Parents that stand or sit their young children in shopping trollies makes me angry! Who knows what their offspring have walked in before being placed there.

Sorry im having a dumb moment here. Do you you mean standing and sitting in the trolley bit of a trolley (im aware that makes no sense, i dont know what its called) rather than the seats that are in trollies for kids?

I mean in the main part of the trolley where the shopping is put. The child is supposed to be on the seat part.

Thats what i thought @Sheal just wanted to make sure i was following correctly and i agree with you. It is also slightly dangerous and why not just use the seats thats what they are for

Drivers in the outside lane (of a four lane motorway) who shift from lane 4 to 3 to 2 to 1 to sliproad in one manoeuvre , without indicating, without considering how that may affect the drivers they are cutting across .... it's a m.o.t.o.r.w.a.y. ... not Le Mans!!! :nonofinger:

There's something to be said for being stuck behind a tractor on the islands roads "M". I don't miss motorways!
