Hi guys, found this fern by my stream but no idea what type of fern it is. I've potted it alongside other ferns in my garden. Can someone please identify it?

It might be "Lady Fern" Athyrium filix-femina

Thanks. Could it be an Oak Fern?

Ferns are always hard to id from a pic.
Experts would look at the spores under the fronds to give positive id's.
A sort of finger print..each one being different.

We used to grow Oak fern..Gymnocarpium dryopteris.
Unlike most ferns it spreads by roots, to form VERY large patches.
So I am pretty sure your fern is not Oak fern.

      Quote above...
"G. dryopteris is a deciduous fern to 30cm tall, forming extensive colonies of bright green, triangular, 2 to 3-pinnate fronds 10-20cm long and wide"

Thanks. I wonder what it is. It'll soon grow and we'll all know then.
