I moved into a new house at the end of last Summer and so have no idea what has been planted in the garden. We didn't dig everything up and thought we'd wait and see what popped up and we have been pleasantly surprised. However, over the past few days some very odd looking plants have started coming up in the beds and also in the gravel.. Can anyone tell me what they might be? Are they weeds? Should I be pulling them up?

Be careful with the ones in the last pic as you don't want to damage the Muscari (grape hyacinths).

I'm wondering if one of these will be useful getting rid of them? [IMG]

Every time I pick them out, they release either spores, seeds, or dense green pollen. These will surely wipe out whatever it is won't they?
