    Hi everyone,

I have just this second joined after searching for a UK gardening forum. I have searched for a plant I.D thread but can't seem to find one. Sorry if I am posting in the wrong place.

My (probably first of many) question is; are these two plants honeysuckle & if so can anybody identify the type without flowers?

Also if anybody has any recommendations for what to do next, i.e. whether I should seperate them out and attach them to the fence via canes/strings straight away or let them grow a bit please let me know. The end aim is to cover the fence which hides our gas tank.

Thank you very much in advance :)

Hello and welcome to the forum JadeFO.

Sorry but I can't id that, I'm pretty sure it's not Honeysuckle. Hopefully someone will be along soon who knows what it is.

Welcome to GC JadeFO....They looks like a Honeysuckle to me but can't be sure, there are so many different varieties and the edges of the leaves are throwing me:scratch:

Me too, the plant looks familiar but I can't place it.

I would say it's Honeysuckle, I have seen the serrated edge on leaves before.

Honeysuckles. 'Serrated' leaves are common on Evergreen Honeysuckles (got one in my garden), but I'm not sure if it's one of those, will try and get a pic in the morning.

That's fantastic, thank you everybody. Hopefully it will flower this year & I will post a picture of the flowers if I'm still not sure.
I did really want a native honeysuckle but after excessive googling I don't think it is.

Once these Honeysuckles flower it may be possible to id them further.
Do add more pics to this thread when they are open.
