    Hi Everyone,
I've just joined the forum and am looking forward to sharing gardening info with all of you. I live in London and my garden was neglected for many years as I lived abroad. When I finally returned, I became ill and haven't been able to do anything with it for the last 7 years. This year, with the help of a friend, I hope to start a garden that doesn't have all the neighbours complaining. So far, I've had plants put into pots whilst the garden is being sorted out.

Greybelle - welcome to this friendly, helpful forum!

If I were one of your neighbours then I wouldn't be complaining since I am a naturalistic gardener, i.e. favour a more natural look than for everything to be manicured within about 1" of its life!

I hope the garden plays some part in your recovery back to good health. [IMG]

Hi @Greybelle and welcome to GC :sign0016:

What part of London are you in? I am over on the Western fringe (technically Surrey I suppose, but still within the M25 and still get TfL bus services.... just)

Thank you to everyone for such a warm welcome. I'm living in North London and over the last few years the weather has been pretty mild even when the rest of the country has been having a difficult time. This was the state of my garden at the beginning of the year. Previously you couldn't see the fences for the undergrowth and it was all cut back 3 times last year. I had gotten to the point of having it completely paved over but, luckily I came to my senses.
