Honeyberry Plant/bush advice

    Hi,does or has anyone grown them? i was thinking of getting some to pop on the allotment maybe ,reviews say they taste nice :dunno: Thanks :) x

    Never heard of them till you came up with it.

    Seems like giving them a minus 40C winter could be a problem:biggrin:

    But other than that it must be worth a go.:)

      Where are you getting them from? I want a few additional fruit types in the garden. What do they taste like?

      I read they taste simiar to raspberry or blackberry but dipped in honey :) @GYO newbie

        Well if you get a minus 40C winter, I'm guessing any fruit, come summer, must be a bonus, even it it tastes awful.
        Most popular fruit is "popular for a reason".
        Most strange fruit, even tropical, is "strange for a reason".

        They call it an acquired taste, basically means its, its tasteless.:biggrin:

            I bought two of these from a garden centre last September I put them in the allotment they are flowering but not had any fruit from them yet

              Ive just had feed back else where too @Richard360 ,she says hers is a couple of yrs old and the fruit tastes great(she must of got some last summer) so maybe you will be lucky this yr :blue thumb: i will prob have to wait til next yr for a small harvest,what soil do they prefer richard do you know ?? Thanks x

                I was thinking as they are honey suckle they might benefit from leaf mulch but ive read they dont seem do be fussed which soil :dunno:
                It will at least next yr before i see any fruit but im so loooking forward to it :) let us know how big your harvest is this yr :blue thumb:
