Holidays, what are your plans for 2015

Off to Dusseldorf, Leipzig, Hannover, Prague and Amsterdam in May/June on our annual motorcycle trip First stop is Calais then we hit the roads, bliss.

.....then 12 nights in New York in August. Took the kids there 2 years ago for 5 days, they wanted their main holiday to be there this year. Beats sitting round a pool for days on end, bored out me tree.......

I'm a veritable greedy guts, so holidays are about good food, good wine, architecture and the guys i go with on the bikes, are the same as me regarding the food, history etc....

Harry, my lad, is the same as me. He loves food and history and films, so New York is great for us...mmmmmmm, philly cheese steaks! nom nom nommmage! The wife and daughter can visit the shops while we take in a concert in Central park and stuff ourselves silly....

Emily, the daughter, loves music as do i, so we'll be taking in a few concerts and trundling around the art districts...looking forward to it.

 

Now that I have read this morning that the second series of Poldark will be filmed this Autumn,I wish now we were going back to Cornwall(if I knew when filming was taking place)but will have to make do with somewhere else instead

I do enjoy my holidays as they were rather lacking as I was from a large family and my parents couldn't afford a holiday for twelve of usI had my very first holiday when I was twelve going away with one of my older siblings and their kids and i thought the sea was amazing as I had never seen it before.had my second holiday when I was seventeen and had met my first husband by then,although we only went camping in Ilfracombe I enjoyed it.Now I am with Mr Kandy we try to save for a holiday every year even though it is still of the camping type(caravan).We feel what with his job and the work we do on our house,gardens and lottie we feel that we need a break because if we stayed at home we would just work ourselves to death
