I cant understand how most take away shops etc cant sell decent chilli and garlic mayo with there kebabs etc when its as simple as 2 ingredients per dip

    chilli dip

    tin of toms
chillies fresh and what ever variety you want to use

blitz them in a blender till smooth or if you want a more of a salsa type used chopped toms and only blitz have a tin adding the other half and pulse once or twice

    garlic mayo

cheapest jar of mayo you can get around a jam jar size
fresh garlic as many cloves as you want according to your taste normally around 6 cloves for a decent flavour in a jam jar sized jar

peel and chop the garlic and pass it through a garlic press or of your lazy use lazy garlic out of a tube/jar

then just add to your mayo atleast a day in advance

2 very easy tasty dips for the bbq now the summer is upon us

You can also make your own Mayo - very, very simple and tastes miles better than shop bought.

    - In a food processor crack 1 egg, season with salt and pepper. Add one teaspoon of French mustard and one tablespoon of lemon juice.
    - Whizz
    - As its whizzing pour in veg oil until the texture becomes thick and the colour lightens ( between 1/4 and 1/2 pint depending on the egg).

Keeps for about a week, maybe a bit longer.
