Out or still in?.......Half of my bedding plants are half out. :) The half which are becoming rampant are now doing what the fair maiden did...... in my carport. Not the ideal place as it's on the north east side of my bungalow and gets very little sun, having said that they are out of the constant wind that's blowing.

Thanks Harry and Anthony but appearances can be deceiving. I have some sick looking Lavatera at the back of the bottom shelf, they need to be planted out and I'm loathe to pot them on again.

I have no idea @HarryS :heehee: The leaves look like Marigolds to me but whatever they are I know they will be yellow. I sowed a packet of seeds that were mixed yellow flowers growing to approximately 2ft in height. I've got about three dozen plants, so it's going to be interesting.

The leafy ones at the front of the top shelf are Nicotiana.

Most of the bedding is hardening off outside, the Ensete and one remaining Brug went in yesterday. A lot of stuff is just sitting there waiting for some decent calm, warm weather.

Hanging baskets are out bar the one I haven't planted up yet. In the greenhouse are tomatoes, seedlings, cuttings, dahlias which are still just shoots and peppers.

I have pretty much put all my fruit and veg out last Monday. I had been hardening them for 4 days.
My garden is very sheltered from wind, but gets good sunlight through the best part of the day.
I did put some sweetcorn out a few weeks ago too and now they are getting thick and starting to grow quite fast. It was a bit of a risk but so far so good, hopefully get some nice early cobs.

                          all out well nearly ....

I have planted out the 150 or so 3 types of french marigold , another week for the baskets in the greenhouse so finally I have room to start sorting out
I have been potting up the tomatoes so they have had no check in growth , so I will wait till 6 ish before I start planting them its just too hot in the greenhouse

Finally all out of the greenhouse and hopefully in the beds next week, with the exception of the tomatoes that will stay in. :)

Everything out. Funny year this year for me as away a lot ...

Annuals (don't usually have many, but before I went away filled window boxes and troughs hoping for a bit of colour) - verbena and others all put out 12th April. Seem to be doing ok.

                              a2.jpg

Veg - nursery bought, tomatoes, squash, courgettes, runners and french beans, all went out 13th May.

All seem to be doing ok. Fingers crossed. Think it has been mild here at nights but very dry.
