I've recently moved into new house 3 months ago and the garden is in need for some work.
I have weeds growing though the patio and can't seem to get rid of them.
I've tryed to dig them out no joy

I've try ed weed killer. Hot water.
Really could do with some expert advice

    Cheers

Hi Chris, I'm guessing that's grass ( the photos not too clear on my phone). It looks to me like whoever was there before you laid the slabs ontop of a lawn. Have you thought of relaying it ?

A friend used Roundup Ultra 3000 on a large area of garden and in around 3 weeks everything was dead. We use the normal Roundup and also a weed wand on our block paving.

Hi, now long between applications? Weed killers do take some time to see results.
I prefer to get stuck in and clear a patch at a time, a bit of hard work but worth it. Good luck

Every 2 days for at least 2 weeks.
    And nothing happening.

I've dug them out so many times.
    They just grow back.

Can you post some better close up pictures then people can see what you're dealing with?

You could hover mower over it to get height of the grass/weeds down (if slabs are level) and then try a product that kills everything - grass, weeds and all. A proper garden centre should sell something.

I know it's not what you want to hear but, just by way of perhaps seeing it from a different perspective, I find the photo rather appealing. I realise this is seeing/appreciating 'outside the box' though.....

OOOh booger, it was quite appealing to me as well until I saw the close up photo.
I'm afraid you have horsetail there, one of the more awkward weeds to get rid of.

I suggest the only option you have there is to relay the patio as previously mentioned. A very thorough job will be required on it too !!
The first thing I would do with that Chris is to get someone in to spray it for you with Kurtail. Bear in mind the gardener must have his P1 and P6 spraying certificate.

I suspected it might be horsetail, which is a booger to get rid of. RHS advice here.
