    Okay, I'm with it now. :) I've just read about aquifers on Wiki and a diagram has helped put me in the picture. The way I see it now is.....if there is, or was an aquifer in the glen then it would have to have been under the hillside with the valve at one end on the footpath. The path I was on was no more than 4ft wide with a steep hill to one side and a drop to the river the other.

    I wish I'd taken pictures of the area now......on another visit may be. :)

          As a builder by trade, surely you can come up with something more than an aquifer fing Charlie? :heehee:

          It is .... The plug to the IOM.

          If you undo it with the "Magic Spanner", then all the water from the Irish sea comes up through it and the IOM slowly sinks to the bottom.

                I haven't got any bottles to put down Armandii I don't drink, and I haven't got any blue pills either! :biggrin:
