    Hi Karl,

    Welcome to Gardeners Corner :)

    It looks to me like Impatiens Glandulifera, Himalayan Balsam.

    It is a really pretty plant that is related to Busy Lizzies, unfortunately it can be invasive if you let it seed itself, as its seedpods burst open and send the seeds yards away.
    If you decide to keep it make sure you deadhead it regularly, otherwise your neighbours won't like you very much Lol.

    PS, if it's grown in/near water it can grow upto 10 ft high.

    We have it growing all along our local river and it does look absolutely stunning in full flower, but it does have to be kept contained.

    Very invasive and damaging to the habitat. If it were in my garden it would be in the compost bin. It has seed pods which pop and scatter hundreds of seeds all over the place. Have a look here for further advice.

    Easy to get rid of though as the roots are shallow so can just be pulled up (before the seed heads form).
