I am a very novice gardener. Could anyone tell me what is wrong with my cherry tree. I have had it four years and only had one cherry from it!! Lol. Every year the leaves go crinkly and the cherries drop off. I attach a photograph.

Welcome to GC @John in Ireland :sign0016:

I'm afraid I can't help you as I am no expert on trees, but I didn't want to read and run. Hopefully one of our experts will be along shortly with some helpful advice. Meanwhile, feel free to make yourself at home here, and get to know everyone :)

The curling of the young leaves could be aphids.

Ooh! ... I will do some leaf uncurling tomorrow and report back. Wonder though if this would happen every year for four years???? Maybe knowing my luck.

Blackfly seem rife this year - I had a volunteer nasturtium in the driveway that had got to quite a size, and in less than a week they have decimated it. They have moved on to the volunteer calendula in the back garden now, so I will have to get spraying later

A plant that appears where I haven't sown the seeds for it - the poppies in the back garden are probably the best ones I have had so far.

I seem to be quite lucky in that respect, although some of them confuse the life out of me. I found four volunteer tomato seedlings in one small walled border yesterday, yet there has definitely been no tomato plants anywhere near that spot since last summer. The only way they can be there is a dropped fruit that has self seeded and lain dormant over winter.
