    :help:

I'm currently trying to get rid of a Willow out of the middle of our Rose garden.

It isn't so much a tree, it was used as ground cover.

It is on a trunk about 1' high and probably about 8" round..

I've taken all the branches off now so there is just the main trunk left.

Unfortunately, due to my health I can't dig it out.

What I'd like to do is saw it off just above ground level and then kill it off completely.

Is there anything I could perhaps kill it off with ? I ws thinking if perhaps making holes into it and pouring bleach or weedkiller into it.

Obviously, I don't want to use anything that will contaminate the soil as there are Roses, Pieris and Box in the same bed.

    Thanks everyone in anticipation :)

        Hi

if you can drill holes in to the stump and buy some "brushwood killer" and pour it into the holes then do the same the following week and as MR c has mentioned keep it covered with a bucket . Shoudnt take long plus it wont go in to the soil.

          Hi Spruce,
Thanks, that's the sort of thing I was looking for. Would somewhere like B&Q or The Range sell it do you think ?
