My fav. so far is the large hanging basket out the front :)

Having a bit of trouble with the geraniums as none are flowering although a lot do now have flower heads starting to grow. Not sure why these are so slow this year though :cnfs:

Am hoping with a good bit of sun this week (as predicted) they might come on leap and bounds :)

Big planter hasn't done so well, due to the dog jumping all over it and destroying all the plants! Have replanted now and everything is starting to grow :)

Hi Sam, they all look gorgeous and very healthy :)

Funnily enough my geraniums are a bit slow too. I can hardly see them amongst the other plants in the hanging baskets!

Funny you should mention the slowness of your geraniums Jazmine. I have used them in the centre of all my containers as the central upright. Very little of them can be seen in amongst the fuschias and trailing petunias. I wonder if they'll get the chance to flower.

The pictures above are just beautiful, well done!

    Thanks all :)

Totally agree with Jazmine and Natalie - not a clue why the geraniums are not flowering yet. Have seen other peoples that are full of flowers already :(

Have used them as the uprights in all my containers as I just love them. Also have some planted up in pots on the kitchen windowsill and no flowers there either! A couple do have little buds on them now, but some of the ones in pots are being overshadowed by other stuff so not even sure if they will bloom ..... very confusing though as never had this problem before!

Will keep my fingers crossed :)

Sam, congratulations - you have some lovely containers there, I especially like the large basket outside the front.

I think a lot of people have had a problem with bedding plants not growing or flowering properly this year. I am sure that temperature is largely responsible. Sometimes, if a tender plant is exposed to the cold too early, it will sulk and then grow more slowly or could even refuse to grow at all.

Christopher Lloyd used to say that you shouldn't sow tender annuals such as Cleome, Cosmos or Tithonia until the first of May for this very reason. If they get too cold they could refuse to grow and never recover all summer. And I have certainly had that experience with Cleome - it just wouldn't grow even when temperatures were much higher. However Geraniums are tough old things and I am sure they will recover with some heat.

The fact that other people have Geraniums that are flowering when yours are not, could simply be due to the fact that theirs didn't experience the same temperature trauma as yours did at some point in the past.

A house full of sulky teenagers .... and now a garden full of sulky geraniums huh ? :hehe:

Oh well, least the window cleaner has been today so I can see my plants from almost every window in the house now :D
