Bargain Aldi Multi-purpose and Peat-free Compost!

Folks,

They are selling both multi-purpose and peat-free compost at Aldi for £1.99 for 40 litres.

I bought 200 litres for just under £10.

Get yourselves down there!

I'd rather get 6 x 56L bags of JAB MPC from Wyevale @ 6p/litre using the £5 voucher from their latest 'Gardening Club' mailing, best MPC I've used in years (for potting up & large seeds, I use quality seed compost for small seeds).

Not at all @pamsdish. After what I found in Aldi's "organic" (are you having a laugh) compost, I wouldn't put a teaspoonful on my garden. If I so wished I could get similar or better for free from the council recycling depot down the road. I heard a rumour that the council were having trouble getting rid of their compost as the local farmers were refusing to take it, I'm not surprised!

 

I've used it in the past not anygood, ending up using it for mulching
