    Hi all,
Hive recently been getting trouble regarding bees.
When I came home the other day, there was a dead bee on the floor in front of my front door. Every night since, there has 'bee'n a single bee (I say single, can't see a ring), on my front door .
I had to wait tonight until it finally buzzed off, beefore I could get in .
I have also had some long 'bee'tles in the house , but haven't seen one for about a week now. Horrid things, long and narrow. One was in my lamp shade in the bedroom.
Not sure if there is any connection.
Any ideas what is occuring ?

it was fairly round and had only about one broad band around it. Not huge but pretty big. I think it had 6 legs (black).
I was going to take a pic, but didn't want to get too close.

I have just read online, that if a bee sits on your front door, and if you get critters in the house like beetles, then the house may have been marked for an invasion :ouch1:.
In the evenings, it says they may be lost trying to get back to their own house?? Attracted by lights, or bright things. My front door is pure brilliant white gloss.
I wondered if they were attracted to the smell from my work boots?

I would some honey there or feed them some at the time so they can gain some energy to stay till morn or find their way home maybe :dunno:
I leave honey around the garden and in the potting shed incase they fly in while im a work and get trapped,i do have a weighted fly screen on the door but they still manage to pop in

Tonights one looked like it fell off the door onto the floor at one point, but regained strength and flew back up onto the door again. It flew off about 10 minutes later. I am glad they are only there in the evenings, and not when I leave for work.

I'd have thought you would hear it before smelling it! :noidea:

Bees are amazing. I ran out of petrol years ago and load of bees appeared and went in my tank . Job done !!

I didn't think of that
You are very clever Mr Shiney. It could just be the scent from my neighbours bush.
I will post a pic if I can. Maybe someone can identify it. It has a sweet smell.
