I presume the Daily Express have predicted a BBQ / Heatwave summer for 2015 ? That can be the only reason for the shocker we are having :gaah:

Well really since the back end of June its not been too bad here.
Pretty bad now, windy and had some rain, but we did actually need some rain.

I'm hoping its only a short break, but it does have a tendency to not know when to stop, once the rain starts.
Which is why I'm careful what I wish for.;)

Its certainly not warm here at the moment - I've had the greenhouse all shut up for the past few days just to try and get some warmth in there to encourage my tomatoes to do what they should be doing....

"You cannot be Serious" We have been having fantastic weeks of sunshine so much so that I actually burnt my back when trying to get some VitaminD on me skin and that was only showing it to that globe in the sky for fifteen minutes the other month:snork:

I have a photo from the middle of June and I think I mentioned it on the weather thread that my weather station was reading 94f one afternoon and it was so hot I was the only idiot over at our allotment watering our crops and Mr Kandys sisters plot while they were getting wet on the Isle of Arran and I was worried that all my young newly planted out veggie plants were going to die:redface:

We had a week away from July 11th and apart from a couple of overnight storms when we were TRYING to sleep,we had a beautiful week and walked some 35 miles.Last Monday after we got back we popped over to our lottie to pick some raspberries and Gooseberries and we had to come home eventually as the sun was beating down on my head and was making me feel unwell as I had left my hat at home, but we had a lovely display from the Vulcan so was worth going home early:biggrin:

We did get a drop of rain yesterday which has watered both my gardens and lottie plots but hopefully it will get down in the large cracks that have appeared in my borders through lack of water:sad:

So Val have you been living on Pluto for the last few months?

PS,Lovely to see you posting again Val and hope you are feeling better.:grphg:I had the awful feeling you had been thrown off the forum:whistle:

No sign of summer here either. It's been wet and windy since April and temperatures have been around 14/18C for the last month. Half of my annuals were binned a few weeks ago and the rest are putting on a poor performance. I believe autumn is already here.......my winter duvet was put back on the bed today, it was cold last night!

An Indian summer would be good, I'm having a late holiday. :)

                  Welcome back Val. :)

I think I must be living in a different part of the world to some of you.

Agreed we've had a lot of rain yesterday and today but by God did we need it. Except for when we had the storms about 3 wks ago we've had nothing at all. And have we all forgot late May into June when we were having temperatures into the 90's.

No, not forgotten it, we didn't get it! :) Summer here has been skipped this year, we've gone from early spring to early autumn.

Yeah, I'm sorry Sheal. I know you've had it rough over there. I was talking more about the mainland.

The weather in the north west has generally been lousy. We've had the heating on the last couple of nights and when it hasn't been raining I've been gardening in a fleece!

Seems like we have a NW to SE split . The North West had a poor spring, and apart from a hot spell end of June , July has been dire. Seems like the Midlands and South East are having a good un !
@wiseowl , I have left a couple off buckets of water for you at the end of the drive . Plenty more where that came from its starting to rain again !
