My mother in law has a 6ft goldcrest conifer, which until a month or so ago was in prestine condition but it has now quickly developed large brown areas which are obvious areas of die back. There is no pattern to where they are, they're from bottom to top and on both sides?? The outer unaffected parts remain very healthy and new growth is plentiful.

Any ideas, thanks in advance :)

Thanks Sheal, I suspected there wasn't a lot that could be done :( think I'll cut out the dead growth for them and tie in the new stuff to cover the gaps and see what happens :)
