Hi everyone, glad to have found this Oasis of Knowledge and idea's.
From a young whipper snapper helping my Grandad on his rather large garden, through my postage stamp early gardens here I am today.
Moved into a rural cottage a few years ago, garden was over-grown and somewhat neglected (the previous owners were elderly), I set about chopping down 8 - 12 tree's of varying sizes to create the Veg patch, had great success with Runners, Onion's Beetroot, Carrot, Parsnip, French Beans etc. Greenhouse erected and yields great Tomato, Chilli and Pepper harvest, (I'll post some before and after later)
Front Garden is South Facing with 1 cooking Apple and 1 eating apple (Braeburn) tree, rest is Grass, and a pebbled patio area with 8 foot high hedge surrounding.
Back is North Facing with Veg plot, Greenhouse, Summer House, Pond, various different flower boarders and pots, soil is good until a bout a spade & half depth when you hit clay.
Well that's probably enough for a first post....
