    If the top is spikey it's a varigated holly, the bottom looks like a varigated ivy :)

      He he! Thanks for that. I was quite sure about the ivy. Ho hum!

            You've cracked it, oh wise one. Thanks so much. It's one of dad's plants that never did well on his balcony and always looked like dying off. I picked it up one Christmas probably about 5 years ago. We brought it over here and it's done so much better for the last year in the garden. All the best, Russ.

                Always helpful and polite mr Wiseowl. Even though you use a Cannon. He he. Looking forward to partaking in the photo competitions in coming months. I must bring laptop back and forth to transfer pics from camera to download. I only have my ipad which is good for general photos, can't match my obviously superior NIKON. He he! Couldn't resist.
